Evie Collins – Biography

Evie CollinsBorn and raised in New Zealand, Evie graduated from Otago University in the South Island with a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree in 1997 and moved to London in 2001.

Evie currently locums at an organic pharmacy, where she dispenses and advises on herbal medicine, homeopathy and organic skincare – both medicinal and anti-aging. Prior to this, over the past few years, Evie has been part of a variety of pharmacies including Harrods, Farmacia and at the Priory Hospital in Roehampton, London.

Evie’s main interest has always been in natural health and healing, yet it was only after realising the impact and stress that living in London placed on her own health, that she became conscious of the importance of nutrition and well-being. This propelled her to expand her knowledge in the field, and in her spare time she studied at the College of Natural Nutrition.

It was during her study that Evie learnt the importance of empowering people with knowledge, so that they become responsible for their own health. She also learnt the significance of re-connecting mind, body and soul to discover balance within.

Evie also advocates the healing and nutritive qualities of live food, juicing and fasting as an integral part of her clients’ lifestyle. These are the foundations of Urban Daytox along with yoga and meditation.

Evie is a qualified yoga teacher and specialises in ‘QiYoga for De-stress’. QiYoga, the style of yoga integrating the ancient self-healing arts of QiGong (Chi Gung) and Hatha Yoga that combine physical postures and breathing techniques with meditation.
